Chef Richard Sandoval to Open Toro in Fairmont Chicago this Fall

Toro, from critically acclaimed Chef Richard Sandoval, is set to open within Fairmont Chicago this fall. The opening of Toro marks an extension of the longstanding relationship between Fairmont and Richard Sandoval Hospitality, which began with the launch of Toro Scottsdale in Arizona in 2014. Fairmont, combined with the vibrant energy of Chicago, provide the perfect backdrop to showcase Chef Sandoval’s thrilling pan-Latin cuisine. Toro will be the second concept brought to Chicago in 2024 from Chef Sandoval, who opened Casa Chi in May.

Toro Chicago will celebrate the tapestry of pan-Latin cooking, allowing the flavors of heritage to intertwine with the modern techniques and global influences of Chef Sandoval. The restaurant draws inspiration from the vibrant culinary traditions of Colombia, Mexico, Brazil, Venezuela, and beyond. Chef Sandoval aims to offer a culinary adventure that transcends geographical boundaries, uniting the diverse flavors of Central and South America on a single, enriching plate. Toro Chicago will be no different.
